    Comprehensively Control Your Moss

Our moss control care service uses a combination of scarification and chemical treatment which will work to minimise moss growth and instead allow your grass to grow. We recommend getting regular scarification treatment if your lawn is prone to moss as it helps to reduce the thatch layer which is the ideal environment for moss growth.

We currently provide our services to anyone based in Chester, Tarporley, Whitchurch, Wilmslow, Malpas, Mold, Macclesfield, Knutsford, Nantwich, Altrincham, Wrexham and other towns in the area. Have a look on the map or give us a call and we can advise further.

Our lawn care team have worked on hundreds of lawns and is able to give tailored advice on the best course of action to create a healthy lawn. To book your free lawn analysis with us, fill in the form below or contact us at 01829 309 169.

    Moss Control Care FAQs

How To Control Moss Growth In Lawns?

Regular scarification is a great way to control moss growth as this treatment helps to remove the thatch layer which is a breeding ground for moss growth. At My Lawn, our expert team offers a comprehensive scarification process. To find out more get in touch with one of our experts.

What Month Do You Kill Moss?

In order to control moss, there must be some already actively growing. We recommend treating your moss around early fall time as the weather is not too warm but rather cool which means that any patches made after moss removal can be reseeded. This also means that there’s a better chance of growth.

What are the Causes of Moss in Lawns?

The most common causes of moss in lawns are areas that are worn down, low in nutrients or have poor drainage. Also, poor lawn maintenance doesn’t help as when left untreated moss can easily spread.

    Does Soapy Water Kill Moss?

Soapy water can help to kill moss but it is more of an immediate solution rather than a permanent one. Mix two ounces of soap with around 4.5 litres of water and spray on any areas of moss you notice. This will kill the moss but it will not prevent it from growing back. Get in touch with us today and we can provide you with a long-term solution.

How Can I ‌Get Rid of Moss Permanently?

The best way to remove moss permanently from your lawn is through a combination of scarification and chemical treatment. This combination helps to eliminate the conditions in which moss thrives.
