MY LAWN TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided under the My Lawn brand by My Lawn UK Limited and authorised My Lawn franchisees operating throughout the United Kingdom.
By requesting or accepting a quotation, instructing us to proceed with work, entering into a service plan, booking services, or allowing us to carry out work at your property, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. About My Lawn
My Lawn UK Ltd operates a network of independently owned and operated franchise businesses trading under the My Lawn brand.
Services may be delivered by My Lawn UK Ltd or by authorised My Lawn franchisees operating within designated territories.
All franchisees are independently owned businesses and are responsible for maintaining appropriate public liability insurance, employer’s liability insurance (where applicable), and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
My Lawn UK Ltd is responsible for establishing network standards, operating procedures, systems and branding across the My Lawn franchise network.
Except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, My Lawn UK Ltd shall not be responsible for the day-to-day acts, omissions or liabilities of independently owned franchise businesses operating under the My Lawn brand.
2. Definitions
Customer means the person, company or organisation purchasing services from My Lawn.
Property means the address where services are to be carried out.
Services means any lawn care, lawn treatment, lawn renovation, lawn maintenance, hard surface treatments or related services supplied by My Lawn.
Quotation means any written or verbal quotation supplied by My Lawn.
Service Plan means any recurring lawn care programme offered by My Lawn.
3. Quotations
All quotations are based upon site conditions observed at the time of inspection.
Quotations remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
Should site conditions differ materially from those observed during the quotation process, My Lawn reserves the right to amend its quotation accordingly.
Acceptance of a quotation constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
4. Consumer Cancellation Rights
Where the Customer enters into an agreement with My Lawn online, by telephone, email, electronically, or away from our business premises, the Customer may have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
Where the Customer expressly requests that My Lawn commences work during the 14-day cancellation period, the Customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- My Lawn may commence services immediately, and the Customer expressly requests that My Lawn begins providing services before expiry of the 14-day cancellation period.
- The Customer shall remain liable for the cost of any services, labour, treatments, products and materials supplied before cancellation;
- If the service has been fully performed before cancellation is requested, no refund shall be due in respect of that service.
Cancellation of the agreement shall not entitle the Customer to a refund for services already carried out at the Customer’s request.
Nothing within these Terms affects the Customer’s statutory rights.
5. Service Plans
My Lawn may offer a range of lawn care programmes including:
Essential Lawn Care
A lawn treatment programme designed to provide the core treatments required to maintain lawn health and appearance.
Premium Fully Managed Lawn Care – Your Lawn At Its Absolute Best
A comprehensive lawn care programme designed to achieve the highest possible lawn quality through proactive treatment, improvement and management.
The precise services included within any plan will be detailed within the Customer’s quotation, service agreement or supporting documentation.
6. Premium Fully Managed Lawn Care Service
Under the Premium Fully Managed Lawn Care Service, My Lawn shall determine:
The timing of visits;
The treatments required;
The products and materials used;
The frequency of visits;
The improvement works required.
Services may include:
Fertiliser applications;
Weed control;
Moss control;
Scarification;
Aeration;
Overseeding;
Top dressing;
Dry weather treatments;
Seaweed treatments;
Chafer grub control;
Leatherjacket control;
Organic lawn treatments;
Other lawn improvement works deemed appropriate by My Lawn.
The objective of the service is continual lawn improvement and long-term lawn health.
7. Premium Fully Managed Lawn Care Service Cancellation
The Premium Fully Managed Lawn Care Service is provided on a recurring basis and is designed to deliver ongoing lawn improvement and long-term lawn health.
The Customer may cancel the service at any time by providing not less than thirty (30) days’ written notice to My Lawn.
During the notice period, My Lawn reserves the right to continue providing scheduled services, treatments and visits in accordance with the service plan. Any services, labour, materials, products or treatments supplied during the notice period shall remain chargeable and shall be included when calculating any balance due upon cancellation.
Upon receipt of notice, My Lawn reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to determine whether any scheduled treatments or visits due during the notice period will proceed. Any services carried out during the notice period shall remain chargeable in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Upon cancellation, My Lawn reserves the right to calculate the standard retail value of all services, labour, materials, products and treatments supplied up to the termination date and compare this against the total amount paid by the Customer.
Where the value of services supplied exceeds the amount paid by the Customer, My Lawn reserves the right to invoice the Customer for the outstanding balance.
For the avoidance of doubt, certain services provided under the Premium Fully Managed Lawn Care Service, including but not limited to scarification, aeration, overseeding, top dressing, pest control treatments, disease treatments and other lawn improvement works, may be delivered at a different time to when payments are received. Monthly payments do not necessarily reflect the value of services provided in any particular month.
Any outstanding balance shall become immediately due upon cancellation.
Cancellation shall not affect the Customer’s liability for any outstanding invoices, additional services already carried out, or any balance properly due under these Terms and Conditions.
8. Excluded Services
Unless specifically included within a quotation, the following services are excluded:
Full lawn renovations;
Turf replacement;
Hard surface treatments not specifically included within a quotation or service plan;
Any services specifically stated as excluded within a quotation.
Additional services may be quoted separately.
9. Access to Property
The Customer is responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the Property.
The Customer must ensure:
Gates are unlocked where necessary;
Access routes are clear;
Dogs and other animals are secured;
Hazards are disclosed prior to our visit.
Failure to provide access may result in additional charges in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
9A. Property Damage / Hidden Obstacles and Services
The Customer is responsible for notifying My Lawn of any underground cables, irrigation systems, lighting cables, drainage systems, robotic mower boundary wires, concealed pipework, septic systems, inspection chambers, hidden obstacles or other hazards that may be present beneath or within the lawn area.
My Lawn shall not be liable for damage to any such items where their existence was not disclosed prior to commencement of work.
10. Customer Responsibilities and Treatment Guidance
The Customer agrees to follow all reasonable pre-treatment instructions, post-treatment instructions, aftercare guidance and recommendations provided by My Lawn.
Such guidance may be supplied within quotations, treatment reports, service documentation, emails, website resources, pre-treatment guides and post-treatment guides.
Failure to follow such guidance may adversely affect treatment results and may limit My Lawn’s ability to investigate, rectify or remedy concerns relating to lawn performance.
My Lawn shall not be responsible for reduced treatment effectiveness where the Customer has failed to follow reasonable instructions or recommendations.
The Customer acknowledges that the success of lawn care treatments may depend upon ongoing maintenance carried out between My Lawn visits.
The Customer remains responsible for:
- Mowing the lawn regularly and maintaining an appropriate cutting height for the season and weather conditions;
- Watering the lawn when necessary, particularly during periods of dry weather;
- Removing leaves, toys, garden furniture, pet waste and other debris from lawn areas;
- Following any aftercare guidance provided by My Lawn.
Customers are responsible for ensuring children, pets and other persons remain off treated areas for any period advised by My Lawn following treatment.
My Lawn shall not be responsible for reduced treatment effectiveness, deterioration in lawn condition or poor results arising from inadequate mowing, watering, maintenance practices or failure to follow reasonable aftercare guidance.
11. Missed Appointments and No Access
Where a scheduled visit cannot be completed because:
Access is unavailable;
Gates are locked;
Dogs or animals prevent access;
Vehicles or obstacles prevent treatment;
The Customer cancels giving less than 24 hours notice;
The Customer is unavailable after arrangements have been made;
My Lawn reserves the right to charge up to 50% of the scheduled service value to cover labour, travel time, administration, materials and lost business opportunities.
12. Scheduling of Services
Treatment dates are determined by My Lawn based upon:
Weather conditions;
Seasonal requirements;
Agronomic best practice;
Operational requirements.
Dates provided are estimates only.
My Lawn reserves the right to alter treatment schedules where necessary.
Delays caused by weather, product availability or circumstances beyond our control shall not constitute a breach of contract.
My Lawn reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, combine or modify treatments where weather conditions, seasonal factors, ground conditions or agronomic considerations make the originally planned treatment date unsuitable.
13. Payments
Payment is due in accordance with the payment terms stated on quotations, invoices, service agreements or Direct Debit mandates. Where any payment remains outstanding for more than seven (7) days after its due date, My Lawn reserves the right to charge interest on the overdue amount at a rate of 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, calculated daily from the due date until payment is received in full.
My Lawn further reserves the right to suspend services whilst any account remains overdue.
The charging of interest shall not affect any other rights available to My Lawn in respect of debt recovery or enforcement of payment obligations.
14. Direct Debit Services
Where a Customer pays by Direct Debit:
- The Customer authorises My Lawn to collect amounts due under the agreed service plan.
- The Customer further authorises My Lawn to collect payment for any additional services, treatments, products or works requested, accepted or authorised by the Customer and subsequently carried out by My Lawn.
- Such additional charges may include, but are not limited to, hard surface treatments, lawn renovations, overseeding, aeration, scarification, top dressing, pest control treatments and other one-off services.
- Acceptance of a quotation for additional services shall be deemed authority for My Lawn to collect the associated charge via the Customer’s existing Direct Debit instruction following completion of the work unless otherwise agreed.
- Cancellation of a Direct Debit instruction does not cancel any debt owed.
- Any services already supplied remain payable in full.
Upon cancellation, any outstanding balance becomes immediately due.
15. Renewal and Cancellation
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, service plans shall continue on a rolling basis until cancelled by either party.
Customers may cancel a service plan by providing written notice to My Lawn.
Where the Customer subscribes to the Premium Fully Managed Lawn Care Service, cancellation shall be subject to the specific cancellation provisions set out in Clause 7 of these Terms and Conditions.
Cancellation of any service plan shall not affect the Customer’s liability for:
• Services already supplied;
• Treatments already carried out;
• Materials and products already applied;
• Outstanding invoices;
• Any balance properly due under these Terms and Conditions.
Upon cancellation, all sums properly due to My Lawn shall become immediately payable.
16. Treatment Results
Certain services and treatments provided by My Lawn require specific aftercare in order to achieve the intended results. Such services may include, but are not limited to, lawn renovations, overseeding, patch repairs, top dressing, dry weather treatments, pest control treatments, disease management treatments and other applications where watering or additional aftercare is recommended.
The Customer agrees to follow all post-treatment instructions, aftercare guidance and recommendations provided by My Lawn. Where a treatment requires watering following application, it is the Customer’s responsibility to ensure adequate irrigation is carried out in accordance with the guidance provided.
Where the Customer is unsure whether a treatment requires watering or specific aftercare, it is the Customer’s responsibility to contact My Lawn for clarification.
Grass seed applications require particular attention and seeded areas must be kept consistently moist following treatment to encourage successful germination and establishment.
My Lawn cannot guarantee treatment effectiveness, seed germination, establishment, lawn density, pest control performance, disease control performance or any specific outcome where post-treatment instructions have not been followed or where watering requirements have not been met.
My Lawn shall not be liable for poor treatment results, reduced effectiveness, patchy establishment, treatment failure or lawn deterioration arising from inadequate watering, failure to follow aftercare guidance, adverse weather conditions or any other factor beyond My Lawn’s reasonable control.
My Lawn does not guarantee that weeds, moss, pests, diseases or other lawn issues will not return following treatment, as such matters are influenced by ongoing environmental conditions and factors beyond My Lawn’s reasonable control.
17. Photographs
My Lawn may take photographs of lawns and treated areas for:
Service records;
Quality control;
Training purposes;
Evidential purposes.
Photographs used for marketing purposes shall not identify individual customers without permission.
18. Complaints Procedure
My Lawn is committed to providing a high standard of service. If a Customer has any concern regarding services provided, they should notify their local My Lawn franchisee as soon as reasonably possible and, wherever practicable, within thirty (30) days of the treatment or service being carried out.
The Customer must allow My Lawn a reasonable opportunity to inspect the lawn, investigate the matter and, where appropriate, carry out any remedial action before instructing any third party to undertake work relating to the complaint.
Customers should be aware that certain lawn treatments may take several weeks to achieve their intended results and treatment outcomes can vary depending upon weather conditions, soil conditions, mowing practices, watering practices and other factors outside My Lawn’s reasonable control.
Where a complaint relates to treatment performance or lawn condition, My Lawn reserves the right to inspect the lawn before determining whether any remedial action is appropriate.
If a complaint cannot be resolved directly with the local franchisee, the matter may be referred to My Lawn UK Ltd for review. My Lawn UK Ltd may request additional information from either party and may make recommendations aimed at achieving a fair resolution.
Failure to notify My Lawn within a reasonable period, or failure to provide My Lawn with a reasonable opportunity to inspect, investigate or remedy a complaint, may affect our ability to assess the issue and may limit any liability that might otherwise arise.
19. Debt Recovery
Where accounts remain unpaid, My Lawn reserves the right to:
Refer debts to debt recovery agencies;
Instruct solicitors;
Use tracing agents;
Commence court proceedings including Money Claim Online.
The Customer shall remain liable for all sums lawfully due together with any recoverable fees, costs and interest.
20. Limitation of Liability
Nothing within these Terms excludes liability where such exclusion would be unlawful.
Subject to this, My Lawn’s total liability arising from any claim relating to services provided shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Customer during the twelve months preceding the claim.
My Lawn shall not be liable for:
Indirect losses;
Consequential losses;
Loss of profits;
Loss of enjoyment;
Damage arising from circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
21. Force Majeure
My Lawn shall not be liable for delays or failure to perform obligations caused by events beyond its reasonable control including:
Extreme weather;
Flooding;
Drought;
Fire;
Industrial action;
Government restrictions;
Product shortages;
Utility failures.
22. SMS and Electronic Communications
By requesting or accepting a quotation from My Lawn, and where you have been provided with the opportunity to opt out, you acknowledge that My Lawn may communicate with you by email, SMS (text message), telephone or post regarding your quotation and similar lawn care products and services.
We may contact you regarding:
Quotations;
Appointments;
Service updates;
Treatment reminders;
Customer account administration;
Seasonal lawn care advice;
Customer satisfaction surveys;
Promotions, special offers and marketing communications where permitted by law.
Marketing communications may be sent by My Lawn UK Ltd, authorised My Lawn franchisees operating within the My Lawn network, or approved third-party communication providers acting on our behalf.
Email and SMS communications may be delivered using third-party communication platforms, including Mailchimp and other approved communication providers.
Consent to receive marketing communications is not a condition of purchasing goods or services from My Lawn.
Customers may opt out of marketing communications at any time by:
Using the unsubscribe facility contained within marketing emails;
Replying STOP to SMS messages where applicable;
Contacting My Lawn directly.
Opting out of marketing communications will not prevent My Lawn from sending service-related communications necessary to:
Administer customer accounts;
Fulfil contractual obligations;
Arrange appointments;
Provide requested services;
Collect outstanding balances.
Message frequency may vary depending upon the services provided and the Customer’s relationship with My Lawn.
Standard message and data charges may apply in accordance with the Customer’s mobile network provider.
23. Data Protection
Personal information will be processed in accordance with My Lawn’s Privacy Policy and applicable data protection legislation.
The current Privacy Policy is available on our website.
24. Changes to These Terms
My Lawn reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The latest version will be made available on our website.
Continued use of our services following any amendment shall constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.
25. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with any quotation, service agreement, treatment report, pre-treatment guide, post-treatment guide and any other documents expressly referred to within them, constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and My Lawn.
The Customer acknowledges that they have not relied upon any representation, statement or promise that is not expressly set out within these documents.
Nothing in this clause shall limit or exclude liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
26. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
